[Brief]
According to CoinDesk, Ethereum Layer 2 scaling network Taiko has fully restored normal operations of its cross-chain bridge. In late June, the bridge was exploited through a security vulnerability, resulting in approximately $1.7 million in asset losses. The Taiko team immediately halted block production and urged users to withdraw funds, then initiated a multi-stage recovery process including commissioning an independent security firm for a comprehensive review.
Notably, following the bridge restoration, the TAIKO token has surged as much as 136% in recent trading, showing market recognition of the project team’s crisis management capabilities. This rapid recovery is considered a relatively successful case in crypto industry security incidents, but also highlights once again the security challenges facing cross-chain bridge infrastructure.
