FanDuel CEO Amy Howe Departs Company

Amy Howe, chief executive of sports betting giant FanDuel, has departed the company, according to a Wall Street Journal report. Howe’s departure comes amid an increasingly competitive U.S. sports betting landscape.

Under Howe’s leadership, FanDuel has maintained its position as the market leader in U.S. online sports betting, outpacing rivals including DraftKings and BetMGM. The company has been a key driver of its parent company’s growth in the rapidly expanding American gambling market.

The timing of Howe’s exit coincides with a period of intensifying competition in the sector, as states continue to legalize online gambling and new entrants vie for market share. FanDuel has not yet announced a permanent successor.

Howe joined FanDuel in 2021 and has been credited with steering the company through the post-PASERA boom in U.S. sports betting.
