Trump Circulates Draft Iran Peace Deal to Israel and Key Allies

According to The Washington Post, US President Trump has shared a draft Iran peace agreement with Israel and other Middle Eastern allies, signaling a potential major turning point in the months-long Iran crisis.

The specific terms of the draft have not been made public, but sources indicate the framework involves restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program, reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and a gradual lifting of US sanctions on Iran. In return, Iran would be required to accept international inspections and commit to halting nuclear weapons development.

Trump has previously declared the Iran conflict “terminated,” but stressed that a final peace deal still requires negotiation and confirmation by all parties. US Secretary of State Rubio, currently in Rome meeting with the Pope, is also expected to discuss the Middle East situation.

Iran has not yet issued an official response to the draft. The two sides have conducted multiple rounds of negotiations under Pakistani mediation, but key disagreements remain. The international community has broadly called for a swift peace agreement to ease global energy price surges and economic uncertainty driven by the Iran conflict.

Financial markets reacted positively to the news. The Nasdaq led gains on the day, with investors betting that easing Middle East tensions would reduce inflationary pressures and drive economic recovery.
