Ukrainian forces are increasingly deploying AI-powered drone systems to precisely strike convoys supplying Russian troops on the front lines, BBC reports — marking a new phase in drone warfare.

Unlike traditional remotely-piloted drones, these AI systems can autonomously identify target types during flight — distinguishing between military trucks, fuel tankers, and civilian vehicles — and prioritize high-value military targets.
