Buterin指出，随着基金会董事会的扩大，他在EF中的影响力将会降低。他将EF定位为"一个具有明确目的的节点"，而非以太坊生态的中心。这一表态被视为EF去中心化改革的重要信号。
以太坊基金会近年来因大量抛售ETH资助开发而受到社区批评。Buterin承诺基金会将减少ETH出售，并更专注于核心协议研究。
Buterin Says Ethereum Foundation Will Shrink, Sell Less ETH
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin said the Ethereum Foundation (EF) will streamline its structure, sell less ETH, and focus on “Critical Research and Optimization Projects” (CROPS), according to CoinDesk.
Buterin noted that as the foundation’s board expands, his influence within the EF will decrease. He framed the EF as “one node, with a defined purpose,” rather than the center of the Ethereum ecosystem. This statement is seen as a significant signal of EF decentralization reform.
The Ethereum Foundation has faced community criticism in recent years for selling large amounts of ETH to fund development. Buterin committed that the foundation will reduce ETH sales and focus more on core protocol research.
