Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said the next two weeks will be pivotal in passing broader cryptocurrency legislation. The Senate needs to hold a key hearing this month for the crypto market structure Clarity Act to have a reasonable chance of advancement. “Clarity is better than chaos,” Garlinghouse stated, noting the industry is at a critical moment for legislative breakthrough.
Speaking at Consensus Miami 2026, Garlinghouse emphasized that now is the best opportunity for the crypto industry to push for a federal regulatory framework. The Senate’s next steps will determine whether the U.S. can maintain its leading position in the global crypto regulatory race.
