美国国土安全部于10月19日公开一份行政命令，要求联邦民事机构从信息技术系统中移除与深度求索（DeepSeek）相关的技术，并禁止采购该公司提供的产品与服务。该命令最早于2026年7月24日签发，此次对外公开，适用范围包括财政部、国务院、司法部等机构，但明确排除国防部。中国外交部回应表示将依法保护本国企业的合法权益，并反对将国家安全问题泛化、将科技经贸问题政治化。

日本宇宙航空研究开发机构于当地时间10月20日下午从种子岛宇宙中心发射火星卫星火卫一取样返回探测器MMX。探测器搭乘63米高的H3火箭进入轨道，该型火箭此次采用四枚固体助推器、全推力主发动机与加长整流罩的新构型。探测器重约4.5吨，其中三分之二为推进剂，在发射约71分钟后与火箭末级分离，时速超过2.4万公里，足以摆脱地球引力开始约10个月的火星之旅。日本宇宙航空研究开发机构会长山川宏宣布发射成功。
