UK Preparing for Mission to Clear Strait of Hormuz
According to the New York Times, Britain is preparing for a potential military mission to clear obstructions in the Strait of Hormuz. A Europe-led coalition is mobilizing military resources, including destroyers and drones, to ensure the safe passage of this critical waterway.
The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most important oil transit chokepoints, with approximately one-fifth of global oil supply passing through it. Since the Iran war began, navigation safety in the strait has been severely threatened.
