Temu方面回应称正在积极配合欧盟监管机构的审查，并已采取多项措施加强商品审核流程，包括扩大合规团队规模、引入AI驱动的商品筛查系统以及与第三方检测机构建立合作。

分析人士认为，此次罚款标志着欧盟对跨境电商平台的监管正在加速收紧。自去年《数字服务法》(DSA) 全面生效以来，欧盟已对多个大型在线平台展开调查，Temu是其中最受关注的目标之一。

对于中国跨境电商行业而言，这一事件释放了明确信号：合规成本正在快速上升，未来在欧美市场运营的平台必须在商品审核、消费者权益保护和数据安全方面投入更多资源。

EU Fines Temu €200M Over Illegal Product Sales

The European Commission has imposed a €200 million fine on Chinese e-commerce platform Temu, citing failures to prevent illegal and unsafe products from being sold on its marketplace. The penalty is one of the largest levied against a Chinese cross-border e-commerce company in the EU.

EU consumer protection authorities identified widespread issues including uncertified electronics, hazardous toys, and products potentially containing harmful substances. Under the Digital Services Act (DSA), large online platforms operating in the EU are legally required to conduct due diligence on goods sold through their marketplaces.

A European Commissioner stated that platforms earning significant profits in the EU cannot offload safety risks onto European consumers. Temu responded that it is cooperating with regulators and has expanded its compliance team, implemented AI-driven product screening, and partnered with third-party testing organizations.

Industry analysts view the fine as a signal that regulatory scrutiny of cross-border e-commerce is intensifying, and that compliance costs for platforms operating in Western markets will continue to rise.
